I am previously a "dyed in the wool Republican", but the party is way off.  The Libertarian Party better represents what all of my compatriots and previous Republican friends are - fiscally responsible and socially wanting less government intrusion into our lives.  The Republican Party understands this and is scared - let's take advantage of this and help the Libertarian message sink in...
