Michael Badnarik, 2004 LP Presidential Candidate Suffers Heart Attack

Michael Badnarik, 2004 Presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party, suffered a heart attack this morning and was last reported in an unconscious state. His condition is serious.
His mother, Elaine, reported to Gary Franchi that Badnarik was in Madison, Wisconsin attending a hearing regarding a raw milk case. After the hearing he got in a car to go to lunch with friends, He then slumped over. His friends attempted CPR and contacted the paramedics. They attempted to revive him 3 times with no success. Upon the 4th attempt, his heart was revived but with erratic behavior.
He was taken by helicopter to Gunderson Lutheran Hospital CCU in Lacrosse, WI. Please do no call or visit the hospital, only family is allowed at this time. He has been fitted with a temporary pacemaker and a balloon pump to ease stress on his heart.
Michael Badnarik has been active in the Libertarian Party for many years. He has campaigned for various offices including Texas state representative and the US Congress, in addition to his 2004 Presidential campaign. In November 2009, he was elected as President of the 2009 Continental Congress, an effort to defend the US Constitution against federal encroachment.
