Texans

Here are some examples of how Libertarian ideas can affect Texans:

Homeoweners Seniors Students

Home prices artificially soared and then plummeted based on the government's intervention in the housing market.  The Community Reinvestment Act, and over-reaching politicians pressured banks and mortgage companies to make risky loans.  To manage the risk, banks purchased fraudulent credit default swaps.

Libertarians would stabilize home prices by removing these bad government policies and rigorously pursuing fraud.

Too many seniors have seen their savings depleted by the recent financial crisis caused by our over-reaching government.  Social Security has not lived up to its promises.

Libertarians call for cutting taxes, and more choices for retirement investing.

Libertarians know that more choices for parents, and merit-based, competitive pay for teachers will improve schools.

Public monopolies lead to stagnation and poor results.  By ending this monopoly, education will improve for everyone.

Farmers Gun Owners Small Business

Libertarians understand the concerns of both farmers and consumers.

We have consistently defended the farming community against eminent domain abuse, property development restrictions, and other reckless; expensive government policies.

Libertarians also defend the rights of all citizens to consume raw foods without government interference.

Libertarians respect the Second Amendment and the inherent right to keep and bear arms.

Thousands of crimes are prevented every month by gun owners who carry their firearms.

Other political parties have mistakenly compromised this basic American principle.

Small Business owners and entrepreneurs are the real engine of the American economy, not Wall Street or the "Big Three".

Libertarians advocate low taxes, less regulation, and less market intervention to encourage job growth at its source: the small business.

We don't play favorites.
