As Texans celebrate Independence Day, the Libertarian Party calls for voters to declare independence from corrupt political parties that try to use courts, tricks, and legislation to subvert the will of the voters.

Fellow Texas Libertarians,

We are 5 months away from the November election.  We just concluded a great state convention and everyone enjoyed it greatly.  We have lots of candidates.  We have a donor willing to match $150,000 of your contributions.  We have a lot going for us.  We need you to help make 2010 a record year for the Libertarian Party of Texas.

Our success comes because we don't just sit around and talk.  We set goals and try to achieve them.
AUSTIN, TEXAS - June 12, 2010 --  Kathie Glass, a Houston attorney, has won the Libertarian Party nomination for Governor of Texas.  She will face incumbent Governor Rick Perry and former Houston mayor Bill White in November.

Thirty-seven Texas Libertarians attended the National Convention in St. Louis.  Mark Hinkle was elected national chair of the Libertarian Party.  Mary Ruwart was re-elected to the Libertarian National Committee as an At-Large Representative.  Guy McLendon was elected as an alternate LNC Region Representative.
