Collin Co. is having a meet up at a Plano Japanese Restaurant. As you can see Collin Co. is growing in strides with its wonderful executive board planning great meet ups like this! Collin Co. is one of our fast growing counties in the North Texas region, they plan on having a diverse group of activities going all year. In August they want to participate in the Plano Balloon Festival. Contact collinlp.org for more information and meeting times.
The Libertarian Party's national convention is May 28 - 31 in St. Louis, Missouri. We will be electing a new national chair, as well as the other officers and representatives to the Libertarian National Committee.
We will also vote on the national platform and bylaws of the Libertarian Party.
Tax Freedom Day Dinner - Houston
Tax Freedom Day is the first day of the year in which a nation as a whole has theoretically earned enough income to fund its annual tax burden. Every dollar that is officially considered income by the government is counted, and every payment to the government that is officially considered a tax is counted. Taxes at all levels of government—local, state and federal—are included. That means that on April 16 we have officially STOPPED working to pay our taxes, and all of our hard earned money is now ours to keep!
