AG Lawsuit and the Political Theater of Healthcare

AUSTIN, TEXAS - March 23, 2010 -- Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, along with attorneys general from dozens of other states, are planning to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the Democrat's healthcare bill as soon as it is signed.

Join Us for the Second Annual Tax Freedom Day Dinner

According to the Tax Foundation, Americans will work an average of 106 days to simply pay their tax burden in 2010.   That means on April 16th, you will finally be working for yourself this year.  We're planning to celebrate this Tax Freedom Day to call attention to our goal: to eliminate the IRS and its intrusive income tax.  We also need to work together to lower our state and local taxes.

Nationwide Libertarian leaders come to Austin

The Feb 26-28 LSLA conference in Austin was a great success.  A fun time was had by all.

On Friday evening visitors had an opportunity to experience the Austin nightlife.  Thanks to the Ladies of Liberty Alliance for help with the planning of these activities.

Saturday was filled with helpful training sessions for leaders and candidates.  I kicked off the evening festivities (at podium) as Dallas County chair Paul Peterson (right) and LP Executive Director Wes Benedict (center) dig into their BBQ:
